The free tier is now called Free preview

The free tier is named Free preview throughout, which is a fairer description of what it is: a worked example organization to look around before you decide.

Clearer plan descriptions

The Plans page now describes what each plan is for rather than just listing limits, and the free tier says plainly that it is a read-only preview.

New workspaces start with an example organization to explore

A new workspace used to open on an empty page. It now comes with an example organization already built out, with people, roles, levels and locations, so you can see how everything fits together before deciding what to change. The Free plan now includes up to 10 people so the example fits comfortably.

The audit log now shows where automatic changes came from

Changes that no person initiated, like an update arriving from your sign-in provider, used to appear in the audit log as an unknown user. They now show the system they came from instead, so it is clear at a glance which entries someone on your team is accountable for and which happened automatically.

A friendlier first minute in a new workspace

Creating a workspace used to leave you looking at an empty page with no particular place to start. You now get a short welcome that points you at the documentation and tells you what your plan includes, and it stays out of the way after that.

Bug fixes

Creating your first workspace now takes you straight into it

Setting up a new workspace used to drop you back on an empty page that looked like nothing had happened, and only a refresh would show the workspace you had just made. You now see a short "setting up your workspace" message and land inside it as soon as it is ready.

Profile photos now import from a CSV

Importing people from a CSV silently ignored the photo column, so everyone came in without a picture. It now works, and the column can be headed photourl, photo_url, or photo url.

New organizations show their plan straight away

A new organization now has its plan in place the moment you create it, so the plan name and its limits are right the first time you open it. Before, a brand new organization could show no plan at all for a while, which made its limits look unrestricted until the plan caught up.
