Org chart software that does more than draw

Most org chart software draws boxes. Resorcerer builds a model: the same chart, but backed by real people, positions, and reporting lines, so you can version it, price it, and change it safely. The chart is a view of your organization, not a drawing of it.

  1. 01 / 05

    Bring in your people

Import from a CSV or your people directory. Each person arrives once, with a role, a level and a manager.

  2. 02 / 05

    The chart draws itself

Reporting lines come from each position, so there are no boxes to drag and nothing to redraw.

  3. 03 / 05

    Your directory changes

Someone joins, leaves or changes manager. The change arrives as an update for the model it affects.

  4. 04 / 05

Review it on the way in

Accept the update and the chart has the new person in place, in the right team, under the right manager.

  5. 05 / 05

    A chart that stays current

A live model keeps following your directory, one reviewed update at a time.

A chart backed by data, not shapes

Load your people from a CSV (re-importing later updates rather than duplicates), arrange them into a tree of units and positions, and the org chart draws itself, photos and all. Alongside the chart you get diagram and matrix views of the same model, so the structure reads the way each question needs it to.

Because positions exist whether or not anyone fills them, the chart can show the organization you're hiring toward, not just the one on payroll today.

Charts you can version

A drawing has one state. A Resorcerer model is one version of your structure, and you can hold several: protect the model that represents today's organization, copy it into a draft, redraw the draft freely, then compare the two and merge back only the changes you accept. Nobody edits the real chart by accident, and every proposal is reviewable. That workflow is the heart of the product; there's more on it on the organizational design tool page.

Charts that know what they cost

Attach cost profiles and every position is priced automatically by its shape (role, level, location). The model then reports headcount and cost, split into filled and vacant, rolled up the unit tree. Your org chart becomes an answer to "what does this structure cost fully staffed?".

Share it without losing control

Invite collaborators, control who sees which models, and review changes with a full audit log. Drafts stay private while you work; the protected model stays safe while you share.

Try it on a real organization

The free preview includes a worked example organization: explore the org chart, diagram and matrix views, costs, breakdowns and problem checks before building your own. See how to build your first model in the docs, or compare plans on the pricing page.

Questions people ask

Can I keep versions of my org chart?

Yes. Each model is one version of your structure, and you can hold several at once: protect the one that shows today, copy it to draft a change, and compare any two to see exactly what differs and what it costs.

Can I see what my org chart looked like at a past date?

Yes. A snapshot is a read-only copy of a model taken at a moment: before a sync proposal is applied, on a schedule, or whenever you press Snapshot now. Compare a snapshot with today, or put it on a timeline beside your plans.

Can the org chart show open roles?

Yes. Positions exist whether or not anyone fills them, so the chart can show the roles you mean to hire, and each one is costed like a filled position.

How do I build an org chart without drawing it?

Bring your people in from a CSV or your people directory, then create a model from Your people: Resorcerer builds the units, one position per person and the reporting lines in one step, by department, by manager or by group. See build your first model.

Who can see my org chart?

Everyone in your workspace, by default. Mark a model private and only organization admins and the people you grant access to can open it, each as a viewer, an editor or an owner.
